Week 8 At The Doghouse

Combat combat combat. That is what this whole week has been focused on, it is a key part to our game so we need to make sure we get it right. We're achieving this by testing every single time we adjust anything. Every time we polish an animation or slightly increase the jump height we go into the game and set it to see if it has a positive or negative effect.

We have now finished the playable farm area and spent the rest of the week finishing the outside terrain to really create a feel for the world itself. It is important on a map like this to make it feel like farm was built on the land and not so that it feels like the land was built around the farm.

The final character models for the Elf and the Knight are finished now. The orc and the Dwarf models will be finished next sprint. But since we now have 2 finished character models it also means that we have been able to have 2 final character models in the game.
We have also been implementing a lot of smaller mechanics into the game to make it feel like it has a lot more mechanics than it actually does.
Next week we will be focusing on the levelution, combat and the interactive menu.
