Week 7 At The Doghouse

Major changes have been made to the project plan this week!

After having meetings with every member of the team we decided to have another look at our project plan and adjust some things. We have decided to only focus on one level until Christmas since levelution within the levels is becoming a very important feature in our and we want to be able really focus on it. So, we are only going to make one level for now and then when we come back after Christmas we will come back and re-evaluate our timeline and see if we can create the second level. For the moment I have edited the project plan so that after Christmas we focus on the pirate ship level but it won't be used just as a regular map but instead for a different game mode to the ones that will take place on the farm level.




Our character artists have began working on the final 3D models of the characters and they are on track to finish all 4 of them by the end of next week. With the final characters our animator will be able to rig them for a final time and then create the final animations.




We have also decided that we are going to try and implement as many new mechanics and systems as we possible can in these 2 weeks. Then when we come back from Christmas we will come back to polish and refine them. That is the type of development that we are trying to achieve now; get it in the game, get it to a state where it works but it isn't as polished as it could be, come back later and polish it and get it working nicely with the rest of the game.
